Sandrine Chambéry

Trained in visual communication at the Duperré School of Applied Arts in Paris, then in illustration at Claude Lapointe’s workshops at the Strasbourg School of Decorative Arts, Sandrine Chambéry makes imagery and imagination her creative horizon.

For nearly fifteen years, her many collaborations with the performing arts (Cie l’Acte Théâtral, Cie Conte la d’ssus, Cie Tandem à plumes, Les Kirouls, ...) and publishing (Belin, Fayard, Le Rouergue) have led her illustrations into a wide variety of worlds.

Little by little, everyday objects emerge as storytelling material, a new medium on which to embroider her chimeras.
